Our first product — a sign language learning app that adapts to your country's sign language, starting in Ecuador.
The insight
Sign languages are national, not universal — Ecuador's sign language and those of its neighbors are distinct languages, as different from each other as spoken ones. Akita starts from Ecuadorian Sign Language and treats the learner's country as the first design input: curriculum, vocabulary, and regional variation all follow the national sign language, with expansion across Latin America planned.
